Underground Philosophy is where spectators become participants. Experience live philosophy where audience members have the opportunity to ask questions, contribute to the field of meaning, and engage in conversations that venture through the ideas shaping our time.
On Thursday 15th of October, we will return to Caz Reitop’s for an evening spirited by the topic of NIETZSCHE.
Nietzsche
Nietzsche is, without doubt, one of the most powerful, psychedelic writers in the modern era of philosophy. Wild, incisive, enlightening, mad and sobering. He is one to learn from, over and again. Yet also one who must, I think, be engaged without following blindly — one whose word ought not be taken as the word.
This will not be a lecture on Nietzsche. In the spirit of Underground Philosophy, core Nietzschean ideas will be opened for dialogue, and together we will move with what comes through for the group, and develop our understanding in the process.

8.00 - Onwards: Optional speakeasy upstairs in the cocktail lounge. (There's a separate standup comedy event downstairs at 8.30.)
HOW THIS WORKS
In this format of Underground Philosophy, participants take a seat in the audience before a small stage in the underground vault beneath a cocktail bar. Your spoken participation is optional, but throughout, members of the audience, as well as long time members of the Voicecraft network and invited guests, will rotate places in dialogue on stage, facilitated by the host on the evening.
