Underground Philosophy | Free Energy

Live in Melbourne

Underground Philosophy is where thought comes to life. Here we resist the pull of algorithms and ideology. When we come to Underground Philosophy, we don’t come for the names alone, but to connect and participate in thinking you can feel.

Underground Philosophy returns to The Castle on FRIDAY July 11th.

You are invited to dinner and conversation at The Castle (pictured above.) Here we integrate periods of participation as well as shared attention / audience time, making room for collective dialogue, private conversation and talks on stage.

Our topic is Free Energy.

Following our previous gathering on Technofeudalism, you are invited to an evening that will explore the promise and potential of free energy as a response to core existential constraints, including the technofeudal (or the key power structures of our present digital age).

Put another way, we will explore techniques and philosophies which seek to unlock and activate our potential to create relational value.

In doing so we will circle notions of desire, creativity, drive, synergy, abundance, scarcity, and lack, in an effort to relate more comprehensively with what it means to wisely cultivate and share intentional attention.

We will consider questions of action in a system where less does more. This is just shorthand to highlight the generative potential of ecological thinking and perception as natural, life-making features of living systems.
